On an overcast day at 31 Meadow Place in Tustin, California a world record was established on March 3, 2019, when fourteen members and relatives of the Ching Dynasty stood proudly shoulder to shoulder in a single shower stall! Never before in the recorded history of this single genealogy have so many descendants and relatives shared the same shower simultaneously! Photographic documentation of this extra-ordinary feat is stored in the library archives maintained by Ron Ching.
It's been a year since the George and Edward Ching families had a get together. Since Ken and family were visiting Disneyland, family members took advantage of the opportunity and had a family get together on June 17 at Stan's new home in Irvine, California. George Jr. and daughter Malissa drove up from La Mesa. Gherie, Roy and son Eirik joined the gathering. Merv and Georgi emailed their regrets as they had prior plans to attend a graduation in Las Vegas. Stan's daughter Sara, her husband John and their son Jackson joined the group. There was a lot to eat and great conversation on how to solve the world problems. Topics ranged from the National Debt, Bin Laden, Social Security, immigration, taxes, smart phones, iPhones and iPads. According to Ron, it was interesting to hear what doctors Ken and George, Jr., had to say about Medicare. The gathering lasted into the late night and was enjoyed by all who participated. »» See photos

What a great time we all had! The food was great, and seeing everybody together after all these years was a wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone, this reunion was a great success. Congrats to those who worked tirelessly to pull this off, and a special Mahalo to Ron for producing a great video collection of memories. Appreciation also goes to Nathan for providing us with "Instant Memories" photos of the group and giving us the refrigerator magnet tips on how to stay healthy.

Ron has begun assembly of a Ching Cousins video montage but doesn't have enough pictures, old or new of the cousins. The few photos he has was enough for only three minutes running time. Thanks to Addison, Ronald, and Sandra who have already sent in pictures. He's still waiting to receive photos from other cousins.
The type of photos Ron would like to see of the cousins are 3-4 photos while the cousins were young, the younger the better, and 1 or 2 current photos. Headshots work the best.
Please send photos to either Ron or Addison. If you have a scanner and can scan them, please send the scanned photos via email. Otherwise please email Ron or Addison to make arrangements for mailing the photos – they will be scanned and returned promptly.
Since producing the video montage will take a bit of time, please don't wait until the last minute to get your photos in!
If you're interested in side activities during the reunion period such as golfing or bowling, please contact Ron and let him know.
Is your name missing from the Contact page Cousin selection? If so, your current email address is not on file. Please send your current address to Addison so that the site can be updated.
