1 - 1½ lbs raw peanuts
2/3 cup Hawaiian Salt (Sea Salt or Kosher Salt works)
1-2 Dried Star Anise Seed
1-2 Bay Leaves
Wash peanuts
Combine ingredients in pot
Bring to boil and simmer for 3½ - 4 hours
For quicker cooking, pressure cook for 55-60 minutes;
remove from heat and release pressure immediately
Rinse and let stand for 30 minutes
Add or lessen salt to your taste. Boiled peanuts al dente or firm when eaten. Boil and cook to your desired consistency
